If someone found a motionless string reaching vertically up into the sky and hanging down nearly to the ground - then should that person consider it as evidence for UFO's ? [56]

Or could there be an explanation in agreement with the well-known laws of Physics?

How long would the string need to be?

This is a very famous problem which I had seen long back on a stupid news channel trying featuring "ladder to heaven' or something similar.. :D

Its been discussed here earlier posted by anant sir and replied by rohan.. (who i genuinely think had the best physics among active users here)
